Repost: Felicitaciones a la profesora Milvia Hernández

Nos unimos al departamento de Lenguas Modernas, Linguística y comunicación intercultural (MLLI) para felicitar a la profesora Milvia Hernández, una de las y los 12 docentes del sistema educativo de Maryland, que invertirá un año de trabajo en un curso para rediseñar el acceso a cursos y reducir barreras digitales para estudiantes.

Professor Miliva Hernández has just been named a Faculty Fellow for Boosting Course Accessibility sponsored by the Universtiy System of Maryland's Kirwin Center for Academic Innovation.

Professor Hernández is one of twelve faculty members from the USM system who will spend the year working on digital accessibility-related course redesign to reduce barriers and support access for all students, including students with disabilities. Her project involves ensuring that Spanish 201 online classes meet the highest standards of universal design making them accessible to all students. She will share her course design and knowledge with colleagues in the department and throughout the university over the coming months and years.
